NPR Visualizes Texas Drought
NPR created a really nice visualization around the drought data for Texas over the last couple of years. There are several things I like about the visualization:
- It is simple; the graphics and charts are not there for purely visual effect but rather are an important aspect of understanding the story
- The font type is beautiful
- There is a good use of both visualization and text to tell the story
- The story is obvious to a reader
