US Budget Breakdown

During both the Republican and Democratic conventions there has been a lot of discussion about the economy and the US budget, especially ideas on reducing the budget deficit that is crippling our finances.

We love dealing in facts so we decided to analyze the budget going back to 1995, just before we began running a surplus. We used Tableau to explore the data, looking at several different types of views but finally settling on four different views.
